Our Purpose
The purpose of the K&K Farm Foundation is to promote home sustainable gardening and provide educational opportunities for responsible agriculture. By fostering stewardship from Mauka (mountain) to Makai (ocean) to emphasize how they are connected, we aim to cultivate cultural foods that benefit families, Kupuna (elders), and the community. Through these efforts, we support a holistic approach to sustainability and community well-being.

The Hukilau Principle
Our workforce is based on the Hukilau Principle. When a large school of fish would swim into the bay, the community was called to help pull or huki the nets to shore. The catch would then be distributed among the families. This is the work principle we use with families, schools, churches, and community organizations. Those who come to work at our farm will reap the harvest.
